10 Strawberries ‘N Cream Protein Recipes For Your Fitness Goals

As summer draws closer, there’s nothing like indulging in a delicious, fresh bowl of strawberries and cream for dessert! But, the harsh reality of getting lean is, unfortunately, we often have to pass on the best part – the cream!

Strawberries & Cream Scones

Ingredients
1 1/8 c whole wheat pastry flour
1 scoop Strawberries ‘N Cream IdealLean Protein
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1/2 c plain fat-free greek yogurt
2 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. + 2 tsp. unsweetened almond milk, divided
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 c strawberries, diced
2 tbsp. miniature chocolate chips, divided

Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 220°C, and line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter or the back of a fork until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
4. Stir in the greek yogurt, agave, 2 tablespoons of milk, and vanilla. Fold in the strawberries and 1 1/2 tablespoons of chocolate chips.
5. Shape the dough into a 3/4″ tall circle on the prepared baking sheet, and brush with the remaining milk.
6. Slice the circle into 8 triangular segments with a sharp knife.
9. Gently press the 1/2 tbsp. of remaining chocolate chips into the tops.
10. Bake at 220°C for 15-18 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden. Try not to over bake it. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Total Prep Time= 10 minutes
Cook time= 15-18 minutes
Serves 8/ Serving size= 1 scone

Strawberry Angel Food Cake Mix

Ingredients
1 c angel cake mix, dry
1 tbsp. Strawberries ‘N Cream IdealLean Protein
Optional: 1 drop of red food coloring if you want it pink!

Instructions
1. Mix the two together in an airtight container and seal it.
2. When you want a treat, mix 3 tablespoons of the cake mix and 2 tablespoons of water.
3. Spray a microwavable coffee mug with nonstick spray.
4. Pour in the mix and microwave for 1 minute.
5. Top with strawberries if you wish and enjoy!

Prep Time= 5 minutes
Cook Time= 1 minute
Serves 8/ Serving size= 3 tbsp. mix

 

Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients
1 c frozen strawberries
1 scoop Strawberries ‘N Cream IdealLean Protein
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c unsweetened almond milk
ICE

Instructions
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until thick.
2. Add more ice if you want it more like ice cream, or more almond milk 1 tbsp. at a time if you want it not as thick.
3. Freeze for an hour if you really want it solid. Or enjoy it right away with a spoon!

Total Prep Time= 5 minutes
Serves 1/ Serving size= entire recipe

 

Strawberry Peaches and Cream Smoothie

 

 

Ingredients
1 c frozen peaches
1 c unsweetened almond milk
2 tsp. agave
1/2 c whole frozen strawberries
1 scoop Strawberries ‘N Cream IdealLean Protein

Instructions
1. Blend almond milk, peaches and sweetener until smooth.
2. Pour a little more than half of the peach mixture into a measuring cup or glass.
3. With peach smoothie remaining in blender until smooth, add strawberries and protein powder.
4. Pulse blender and a couple tablespoons of water, if necessary, to help blend.
5. Pour both flavors into glass at the same time; swirl with a straw.

Total Prep Time= 5 minutes
Serves 1/ Serving size= entire recipe

Instant Porridge Packets

Ingredients
2 1/2 c rolled oats
1 1/2 scoops Strawberries ‘N Cream IdealLean Protein
1/2 c unsweetened freeze dried strawberries (11 g)

Instructions
1. Take 1/2 cup of the oats and process them in a blender or a food processor until they are grainy texture. This is not necessary, but I find that it adds a creaminess.
2. Add the processed oats and the rest of the ingredients into a medium bowl and stir.
3. Take out ½ cup scoopfuls and place them into snack-sized food bags. You should get around 5 servings.
4. When you are ready to eat your oats, pour the contents of one bag into a bowl and add either 1 cup of water or 1 cup of milk (I use almond milk).
5. Microwave on high for around 2 minutes. Be sure to watch it close, it sometimes can spill over in the microwave, so use a bigger bowl. Take out and stir. Enjoy!

Total Prep Time= 5 minutes
Cook time for oatmeal= 2 minutes
Serves 5/ Serving size= 1/2 cup

 

Strawberries and cream yoghurt parfait

Ingredients
1 c plain, fat-free greek yogurt
1 scoop Strawberries ‘N Cream IdealLean Protein
1 c strawberries, diced, divided
1/2 c granola (I recommend Lizzie’s low sugar), divided

Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, combine yogurt and protein powder. Stir until combined and smooth.
2. Dice strawberries and set aside.
3. Layer ingredients in a small glass however you like. To make 1 parfait, we used ½ cup protein yogurt, ½ cup strawberries, and ¼ cup granola. Enjoy!

Prep Time= 5 minutes
Serves 2/ Serving size= 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/4 cup granola

 

Strawberry Banana Shortcake Waffles

 

Ingredients

1 c of oat flour
1 scoop of Strawberries ‘N Cream IdealLean Protein
1/2 tsp. of baking powder
2 egg whites
2 tbsp. of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/3 of a medium banana, mashed
1/3 c fresh strawberries, diced
Fresh strawberries and bananas to serve

Instructions
1. Start by mixing together the dry ingredients: oat flour, baking powder, and protein powder.
2. Next add in the wet ingredients: egg whites, almond milk and banana.
3. Once mixed, fold in strawberries.
4. Heat Belgian waffle maker and spray with non-stick spray.
5. Using ½ cup of the batter, cook waffle according to waffle maker instructions. Enjoy!

Prep Time= 8 minutes
Cook Time= 3 minutes per waffle depending on waffle maker
Serves 2/ Serving size= 1 waffle using 1/2 cup batter

Strawberry Cookies

Ingredients
1 c strawberries, diced, divided
1 1/2 scoop Strawberries ‘N Cream IdealLean Protein
2 tbsp. coconut flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 170°C.
2. Pulse ½ cup strawberries in a blender or food processor a few times. Dice the remaining ½ cup of strawberries and set aside.
3. Combine protein, coconut flour, and baking powder in a bowl. Mix well. Add blended strawberries and mix until combined. Fold in diced strawberries.
4. Spoon 6 cookies onto parchment-lined cookie sheet.
5. Bake about 10 minutes, or just until firm. Don’t over bake!
6. Remove from oven and let cool.
7. Enjoy! Store in the refrigerator.

Prep Time= 8 minutes
Cook Time= 10 minutes
Serves 6/ Serving size= 1 cookie

Strawberry Coconut Bites

Ingredients
2 c unsweetened shredded coconut
1 c frozen strawberries, thawed
1 tbsp. coconut oil
1/2 tsp. coconut extract
1 tbsp. honey
2 scoops Strawberries ‘N Cream IdealLean Protein

Instructions
1. In a food processor, combine unsweetened coconut, strawberries, coconut oil, extract, honey, and protein.
2. Process until smooth and combined.
3. Using a 1 tbsp. measuring spoon, fill your cupcake holders.
4. Freeze for 1-2 hours.
5. Remove from freezer and let them sit out for 5 minutes before removing. Enjoy right away!

Prep Time= 15 minutes
Freeze Time= 1-2 hours
Serves 21/ Serving size= 1 mini muffin size bite (1 tbsp.)
